Draft Charter of Digital Rights to be presented in 2021 by the Portuguese EU presidency

Given the upcoming Portuguese presidency of the EU Council, a government official from the country stated that a draft Charter of Digital Rights is being finalized at the national level and will be presented in the first half of 2021.

Portugal hopes that the final text will be embraced by all member states since the digital economy calls for reinforcing the respect for individual digital rights.
