CJEU delivered its judgement on Schrems II case


On 16 July 2020, CJEU delivered its awaited judgement with regard to transfers of personal data in a third country in the Schrems II case. Among others, the CJEU invalidated the EU-US Privacy Shield framework and declared the standard contractual clauses as a valid mechanism for transfer if certain conditions apply.
