On 14 September 2020, the Irish DPA published on its website a guide for helping the companies to process their customer data for COVID-19 contact tracing with the protection of their privacy rights. The recommendations focus on minimizing the amount of data, ensuring transparency of the processing, deletion of data when after achieving the compliance purposes, storing the data carefully and ensuring purpose limitation.
