On 1 October 2020, the Romanian DPA announced two controllers were fined for GDPR violations:
- a EUR 3,000 fine was imposed against a company for non-compliance with the corrective measure to respond to the requests of the Romanian DPA. At the same time, the Romanian DPA ordered the company to provide an answer to the previous addresses within 5 calendar days;
- a EUR 2,000 fine was imposed against an association of owners for failure to respond to the Romanian DPA requests. A corrective measure was also applied to provide the Romanian DPA with all the information requested by the previous address.
