On 2 December 2020, the Romanian DPA issued a guidance on the measures the owners of associations shall comply with when processing personal data of the owners/tenants.
Among others, the Romanian DPA issued several recommendations on the processing of personal data in case of using video surveillance systems, in case of disclosing the personal data of the owners/tenants on the block staircase notice board and in case of data registration in the real estate book.
The Romanian DPA also stated that the associations of owners do not have the obligation to appoint a data protection officer.
