On 17 December 2020, the Italian DPA (“Garante”) published guidance on the right of access provided under Article 15 of the GDPR.
This guidance represents a part of a broader project launched by Garante with the purpose of providing tools to facilitate the understanding of the data subjects’ rights in the data protection field and to illustrate the specific methods to exercise such rights.
Among others, the guidance addresses questions such as what information can be requested in the context of exercising the right of access, from whom such information can be requested, and whether there are any costs involved.
