Draft Order on notification process for registration

31.03.2025

Following our recent post on the Draft Order published by the National Directorate for Cybersecurity (DNSC), we now take a closer look at the notification procedure it introduces.

The Draft Order introduces a structured framework to classify entities as either essential or important. It leverages digital tools, notably the NIS2@RO assessment tool and the ATHENA platform, to streamline the registration and information submission procedures to the DNSC. These tools are designed to automate and simplify the entire process, from the initial notification to the final registration in the National Registry of Entities.

Entities will utilize these platforms to submit a comprehensive notification form. Upon submission, the DNSC will review the information and, if necessary, request additional data or clarifications to confirm compliance with the legal requirements.

This Draft Order is designed to strengthen cybersecurity measures while simplifying the registration process, making it more straightforward for entities to comply with national standards.
