On 13 May 2020, the European Commission published a set of Q&As on “Coronavirus: a common approach for safe and efficient mobile tracing apps across the EU“.
The Q&As state, among others, that tracing apps must be voluntary, transparent, secure, interoperable and respect people’s privacy; no geolocation or movement data will be used.
