On 24 June 2020, the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) published a joint paper with the Spanish DPA (AEPD) on 14 misunderstandings with regard to biometric identification and authentication.
According to this paper, examples of such misunderstandings include the belief that biometric information is not exposed or that biometric authentication is accurate.
