The EU Council has given today its approval to the Artificial Intelligence Act.
The next step for the AI Act is for it to be signed by the presidents of the European Parliament and the Council and to be published in the Official Journal of the EU, which is expected to occur in the coming days.
The AI Act will come into force twenty days after its publication, with some exceptions for specific provisions.
