On 28 January 2022, the European Data Protection Board (“EDPB“) published on its website the first version of Guidelines on data subject rights – Right of access, adopted during the January ’22 plenary.
In brief, the EDPB tackles the aim and scope of the right of access, general considerations on the assessment of access requests and means of providing access, as well as limits and restrictions of this right.
These Guidelines are subject to public consultation, and the feedback should be sent by 11 March 2022 at the latest.
